HOW TO GET A
BOATER EDUCATION IDENTIFICATION CARD

1. Take a course approved by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission and the National Association of State Boating Law
Administrators (NASBLA).

2. Submit a postcard with your name, date of birth, return address,
phone number and proof of completion of the
course:

Boating Safety Section

3. Or you can take the "How to Boat Smart" correspondence
course and follow the directions provided on the test.
4. Visitors from out of state who do not have a card issued by their
home state can take a Temporary Certificate test. Click here to see a
