Eastern Screech-Owl

Screech-owls' "ear tufts" are really just special feathers which help them blend into the trees where they hide during the day. The owl's round, disc-shaped face helps it to gather sound for better hearing. Good hearing and eyesight help them catch mice and other small animals to eat at night.
